The Project contributed to the strengthening and adjustment of cattle producers’ and breeders’ associations in CEE countries as representative business organisations in accordance with the EU legislation. It contributed to the increased capacity of such organisations in providing services to its members in fields of informatics technologies (data processing, breeding value calculations), marketing (auctions, on farm sales), financial management, environmental aspects of cattle breeding and quality of products. It also aimed at establishing long-term co-operation between EU and CEE countries and joint work in defining and attaining market oriented breeding objectives at country/breed levels.

Final Report

The Final Report of the Project has been delivered to EU in April 2003 and it is also available here

BABROC Newsletter

In order to spread as much as possible the obtained results, the project published on ad hoc basis the BABROC Newsletter. Four issues have been published.
