Commission on Animal Physiology (PH)
![]() |
President Vice-Presidents * Industry Representative |
Secretaries Christopher Harold Knight Hélène Quesnel |
Description
The members (president, vice-presidents and secretaries) of the commission on Animal Physiology arrange and chair a number of physiology-related sessions for the EAAP annual meetings. This work includes suggesting session titles, inviting speakers, reviewing incoming abstracts, chairing the session etc. Depending on the subject of a session, a chair of a session can also be a scientist who is not member of the commission. The physiology-related subjects cover both applied and more basic physiology within growth and development, reproduction, lactation biology, stress-physiology etc. Often we co-chair a session with other EAAP commissions.
The commission on Animal Physiology meets at every annual meeting of EAAP (at the business meeting) to discuss the coming sessions program.
The Commission can also act as a forum to meet with colleagues within the research area and hereby develop contacts that can be used in future collaborative work, applications for EU grants and exchange of students etc. Any proposal for items or subjects to be covered in an Animal Physiology session at the EAAP annual meeting or suggestions for chairs or invited speakers etc. can be sent by email to the president Mogens Vestergaard or the secretary Hélène Quesnel.
Further information about how to become a member of the scientific commissions of EAAP and about election procedures, terms of appointment/election etc. can be found elsewhere on the EAAP website.
